2022 Wagoneer at National Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram

In 1963, the Wagoneer joined the Jeep lineup and quickly became recognized as the "gold standard of the SUV". And rightfully so! It was the first vehicle to mate a 4x4 drivetrain to an automatic transmission, making it the pinnacle of capability. It also put a combination of features that had never been seen in the same vehicle, things like AM/FM/CB radio, air conditioning, leather seating, and more. After being discontinued in 1991, the Wagoneer has returned, this time as its own extension of the brand with three rows of luxurious seating. It will bring features that will put it back on top of the SUV class once again! Right here, you can read all about the 2022 Wagoneer and its amazing features!

The 2022 Wagoneer will enter the automotive industry the same way it did many years ago; by combining an extensive list of modern features and world-class capability. Front occupants of the 2022 Wagoneer will be treated to 12-way power-adjustable heated and ventilated leather-trimmed seats as well as three-zone automatic climate control, and a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen with Uconnect 5, the most advanced infotainment software to date. The Uconnect 5 home screen is fully customizable with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Alexa "home to car" compatibility, 4G LTE WiFi, Bluetooth connection for up to two devices, the Uconnect mobile app, voice-activated TomTom navigation, and much more. Uconnect 5 also has five user profiles with a valet mode. The user profiles can memorize music preferences, climate control, mirror position, seat position, most used apps, and more. The second-row seat comes standard as a bench but can also come with captain's chairs. The bench can easily be folded electronically with a Tip n' Slide function for easy access to the third row. The all-new Wagoneer's third-row will be home to best-in-class legroom with industry-leading cargo room behind it.

Can You Talk About the 2022 Wagoneer's Capability?

Absolutely! The capability of the 2022 Wagoneer starts under the hood with a standard 5.7L V8 engine rated for 392 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque. When equipped with the Tow Package, the Wagoneer can tow up to 10,000lbs. The engine is mated to a TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission that Jeep has perfected over the years. The Wagoneer will come with three available full-time 4x4 systems. Quadra-Trac I uses a single-speed transfer case and a group of sensors to sense wheelspin and redistribute up to all available torque to the wheels with the most torque to counteract slippage. Quadra-Trac II acts similarly with a two-speed transfer case to redistribute torque more rapidly for greater traction. Quadra-Trac II also has Active 4-Low mode for enhanced performance when crawling. The last 4x4 system is Quadra-Drive II and employs an electronic limited-slip rear differential. This system senses wheel spin when the vehicle leaves a stop and automatically redistributes torque through a two-speed transfer case to curb and even eliminate slippage before it happens. Available to the Quadra-Trac II and Quadra-Drive II variants is Selec-Terrain Traction Management with Auto, Sport, Snow, Rock, and Sand/Mud modes. Quadra-Lift Air Suspension allows a normal ride height of 8 inches but can go as low as 6.4 inches and as high as 10 inches! This provides excellent off-road capability as well as on-road fuel economy and performance.

What About Safety Features?

The designers of the 2022 Wagoneer spent a lot of time making it one of the most comfortable and capable vehicles on the market but also made sure not to sacrifice safety. The Wagoneer will employ over 120 standard and available driver assists. Standard driver aids include blindspot monitoring with rear cross-path detection, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, active lane management, an electronic switch activated parking brake, and more. Some driver assists that are available include automated park assist, a night vision backup camera, a surround-view camera, a head-up display, and much more! The Wagoneer will feature a body-on-frame design with a high-strength steel frame that is designed to channel impact energy away from the occupants. All eight passengers will be protected by all-around airbag coverage.
